Saint Trophime Church pedroit

This portal is the cast from the portal of Saint Trophine (only the left side has been molded) and it has been inspired by the portal of Saint Gilles. Some motifs of the portal are now more visible and detailed on the cast version rather than the original. Due to the time passing but mostly the pollution, the portal has been partially eroded and some parts are completely ruined. The restoration work conducted from 1989 to 1996 reveiled traces of the original polychromic scheme and the different material eployed in the sculpting process: marbles, different type of limestone and colours are typical and recurrent themes in iconographic works.
