Study on the mechanism of biofilm formation of Vibrio alginolyticus

Vibrio alginolyticus is an opportunistic bacterial pathogen that threatens global aquaculture and human health. Our findings unveil a unique regulatory paradigm in which c-di-GMP signaling coordinates biofilm development through different mechanisms mediated by CsgD family transcription factors and exerts divergent control over secretion systems, providing new insights into the pathogenicity and environmental adaptation of V. alginolyticus.
