Variables:

1. species- mite species: WCM - wheat curl mite MT-1 (Aceria tosichella); CRM - cereal rust mite complex 2 (Abacarus hystrix)

2. dispersal- the mode of dispersal:  aerial - passive dispersal with the wind; ambulatory - active dispersal, i.e. walking 

3. N- the source population size, i.e. total no. of individuals, which were exposed to dispersal 

4. C- the number of colonisers i.e. the no. of individuals on the target plant after 14 days of incubation
