"Microbiome of Scotland" Public Engagement Activity (dataset)

The link goes to data files are from the analysis of soil samples collected during the University of St Andrews "Microbiome of Scotland" Public Engagement Activity. The posterior data generated from this activity forms the pilot study for the "Antibiotics under our feet" Citizen Science project funded by a SCOTPen Wellcome Engagement Award to Clarissa Melo Czekster, University of St Andrews. The following files types and formats are included on PURE: - Soil sample data ID, collection location and alpha diversity statistics in .xlsx format (Excel spreadsheet) - Raw sequence files; text-based format for representing nucleotide or amino acid sequence with quality data: .fastq (zipped, can be opened with a text editor) - Sequencing visualisation file .qzv (qiime zipped visualisation, proprietary format, can be opened in web browser) and sample barplot image file with legend file in .png format More details on the software required are provided in the Readme.txt file.
