Linked-read sequencing of gametes allows efficient genome-wide analysis of meiotic recombination

Taking advantage of linked-read sequencing (10X Genomics), we present a novel method for detecting COs at kb resolution in pooled DNA in gametes by genotyping SNP markers with molecules of up to multiple tens of kb. The method is efficient for detecting thousands of COs without the need for sequencing individual recombinants, enabling multiple experiments to be done in parallel.
