资源简介:
The CHEREEF (Cold-water Coral Reefs) program aims to study and monitor cold-water coral reef ecosystems in French waters. This dataset contains chemical and physico-chemical parameters related to the characterization of cold-water coral habitats in the Lampaul Canyon.
IFREMER carried out hydrographic and water column geochemistry measurements during the CHEREEF 2021 cruise (Leg 2). 17 CTD-rosette deployments were conducted between August 24th and September 4th, 2021. Hydrographic parameters including temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and turbidity were measured in situ using sensors embedded in the CTD-rosette system. Among these 17 deployments, 10 stations included discrete water sampling using Niskin bottles (max. 12 bottles per station) for carbonate chemistry analysis. Seawater samples were analyzed in the laboratory for pHt, total alkalinity, phosphate, and silicate concentrations. The quality-controlled and processed data are presented in two datasets: vertical hydrographic profiles from CTD sensors, and discrete bottle measurements of seawater carbonate chemistry and nutrients.
