On 26 May 2025 at about 10:00 UTC, a major flood is reported to have affected Covasna and Brasov counties in Romania. The flood has spread, forcing Romanian Authorities to intervene evacuating affected population. Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping was requested to provide initial rough estimation, flood extent, and damage assessment emergency mapping.
