Novel experimental models of human prostate cancer were generated the primary tumor (PT) from a patient with prostate cancer. The PT was subsequently anonymized and deidentified and referred to as PS1172. These models included a patient-derived xenograft (PDX) tumor grown in immunocompromised mice and a castration-resistant cell line. In order to molecularly characterize the PS1172 PT, PDX, and CR cells, whole-exome sequencing (WES) was performed on isolated genomic DNA. The similarities and differences between the models were evaluated based on comparing the variants identified in each model.
