Improving connectivity from Historic Parramatta Park to Parramatta Lake: Site 1

These projects, aligned with the Parramatta Trust Act, will deliver significant ecological improvements and community knowledge about environmental values of the World Heritage listed Old Government House and Domain within Parramatta Park. The projects will improve and maintain native habitat surrounding the Old Government House through weed management and regeneration. The team will monitor water quality in wetland ponds, remove Weeds Of National Significance, and revegetate the area with appropriate native species to increase habitat connectivity, improve botanical diversity, vegetation structure and refuge for endangered species. Improvements on the high profile site in conjunction with promotional information will encourage community support and involvement.
