This dataset contains the centerline position for the Mobile River/Tombigbee River system; the thalwegs for the Mobile, Alabama, and Tombigbee Rivers; a listing of all publicly-available data used and their sources; measured and low-pass filtered velocities from stations not directly obtainable online; measured and low-pass filtered water levels from the stations not directly obtainable online. Bed elevations from 119 surveys were used to calculate high-resolution thalweg elevations. The 11 long-term water level and 6 long-term velocity measurements were resampled at hourly intervals as well as low pass filtered with a 9-day Lanczos filter.
