Whole-genome sequencing of thermotolerant Escherichia coli strains for reverse metabolic engineering

This project involves whole-genome sequencing of Escherichia coli strains with enhanced heat tolerance, obtained through laboratory evolution. The goal is to identify genetic variations associated with thermotolerance in order to inform reverse metabolic engineering strategies. Comparative genomic analysis of these strains enables the rational design of homolactic E. coli with improved performance under elevated temperature conditions, facilitating more robust industrial fermentation processes.
