The Role of the Fish Seed Compact Model in Enhancing Aquaculture Productivity and Household Food Security in Rural Bangladesh

This study evaluated the role of the Fish Seed Compact Model in enhancing aquaculture productivity and household food security among intervention and control farmers in rural Bangladesh. It documents the implementation of the model, which aims to strengthen the fish seed supply chain, improve farm-level practices, and support household food security. Data were collected through a comprehensive household- and farm-level survey covering aquaculture practices, input use, biosecurity and management behaviors, production and income, market participation, food security, dietary diversity, and gender-related decision-making. The dataset provides a rich foundation for analyzing linkages between seed access, adoption of best management practices, farm productivity, and household outcomes. The study is expected to generate evidence for scaling integrated seed system interventions to promote resilient and inclusive aquaculture development in Bangladesh.
