Biohydrogen producing consortium Metagenome

Granular Microbial Preparation (GMP) metagenome contains community of hydrogen synthesizing microorganisms developed under an Indo-Ukraine collaborative project between "Institute of Microbiology and Virology, National Academy of Science of Ukraine" and "Department of Bio and Nano Technology, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, India" sponsored by "Department of Science and Technology (DST), India". This preparation insured high efficiency of hydrogen production by multi component of food waste. The metagenome sample for this hydrogen producing consortium was isolated from Bortnychy Aeration Station, 1 Kolektorna street, Kyiv, 02660 (Ukraine). The developed GMP can destruct mixed solid vegetable waste up to 94% within seven days at a rate of 80 liters of hydrogen production per kg of dry weight.
