Contextual determinants of overprotective parenting- parents answers

In this study, we will test whether more distal contextual factors also explain why certain parents engage in overprotective parenting. We aimed to test whether perceptions of such societal representations would make parents more fearful about doing the right thing for their children, which would lead them to become more overprotective in their child-raising. As an additional goal, the present study will examine the role of parental anxiety and the representations of adolescence of the parents.
