Education system scenarios of the Canton Lucerne

Projections for students in compulsory education and upper secondary education in the Canton of Lucerne. Projected enrollment figures for the next fifteen years in the cantonal education system, currently for 2025–2039.
The calculated student numbers are broken down by school level and type (e.g. elementary school), grade level (e.g. 1st grade), and nationality (Swiss and foreign nationals) of the students. The calculations are based on the LUSTAT population scenarios for 2025–2055 for the Canton of Lucerne (medium scenario) as well as various model assumptions developed in collaboration with experts from the department of education and culture (BKD) of the Canton of Lucerne.
