FL with and without BCL2-break show differences in their N-glycosylation pattern and V H -gene usage

We evaluate the acquisition of N-glycosilation sites in the Immunoglobulin heavy chain locus (IGHV) in 36 BCL2-break positive (BCL2-BN) and 32 BCL2-break negative (BCL2-BN) follicular lymphoma samples including early (I/II) and advanced (III/IV) stage FL at primary diagnosis (ND-FL) and relapse (R-FL).. The frequency of NANGS differed considerably between BCL2-BP and BCL2-BN ND/R-FL III/IV. Moreover, BCL2-BN ND/R-FL I-IV showed a predominant introduction of NANGS in the FR3 region and BCL2-BN ND-FL showed a strong bias for IGV 4-34 usage compared to BCL2-BP cases.
