This dataset contains the source data used to generate all figures, regression analyses, and model validations presented in the associated manuscript on “Scaling laws with hand-wing index and application to flapping-wing vehicle design”.The dataset integrates avian wingtip kinematic data extracted from flight videos using the DeepLabCut (DLC) framework, species-level morphological parameters compiled from established ornithological databases, and wingbeat-frequency measurements obtained from both published literature and video-based analysis. These data were used to investigate the scaling relationships between body mass, wing geometry, wing shape (quantified by the Hand-Wing Index, HWI), and wingbeat frequency.All datasets provided here are directly linked to the figures and statistical models reported in the manuscript and are shared to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and reuse in future studies on avian flight mechanics and bio-inspired flapping-wing vehicle design.
