Pneumonia remains a leading public health problem among under-five children in peri-urban areas of north-eastern Ethiopia

This dataset was collected in 2019 to assess the prevalence and associated factors of pneumonia among under-five children in peri-urban areas of Dessie City, Ethiopia. It includes data on 539 children, covering sociodemographics, pneumonia symptoms, immunization, nutrition, household conditions, environmental characterstics, and pre existing medical conditions. File formats: SPSS (.sav), Excel (.xlsx), and CSV (.csv), Ethics: Approved by the ethical committee of College of Medicine and Health Science, Wollo University. Informed consent was obtained. Data are fully anonymized.
