Wine production generates byproducts including stalks, lees, deposit, and wine filtration residue (WFR). WFR is typically discarded in landfills or on site. However, it may be used as feed for livestock, and its reuse could contribute to the sustainability of the food industry. The present study evaluated whether WFR could be used to feed fattening pigs by evaluation of body weight gain, carcass traits, nutrient digestibility, and fecal microbiota of the fattening pigs.
