Microbiome of biosolid, livestock, and drilling wastes

In the United States, the land application of waste generated from the treatment of municipal waste (biosolids), production of livestock (livestock waste), and drilling of oil and gas wells (drilling waste) has the potential to result in the redistribution of a broad range of contaminants from the waste source to receiving soil, water, and biota. Understanding the microbiome of these waste materials is important for understanding effects on ecosystem and human health with land application.
