The biodegradation rate, chemical oxygen demand (COD) and five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD₅) test data of sodium benzoate and seven industrial additives within 28 days
收藏资源简介:
1. Dataset OverviewThis dataset contains the 28-day biodegradation rate, chemical oxygen demand (COD), and five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD₅) test data for sodium benzoate (procedural control) and seven industrial additives. The data support the evaluation of the COD/BOD₅ ratio as a rapid screening index for the biodegradability of industrial additives.2. Experimental MethodsBiodegradation rate: Determined in accordance with GB/T 21857–2008 (Chemicals—Ready Biodegradability—Modified OECD Screening Test), which is identical to OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals No. 301E (1992) Modified OECD Screening Test.Chemical oxygen demand (COD) : Determined in accordance with HJ 828–2017 (Water quality—Determination of the chemical oxygen demand—Dichromate method).Five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD₅) : Determined in accordance with HJ 505–2009 (Water quality—Determination of biochemical oxygen demand after 5 days (BOD₅) for dilution and seeding method), which is modified from ISO 5815-1:2003 and ISO 5815-2:2003.3. File StructureThe dataset comprises four files:"Store data" : Contains the raw experimental data."Store data 1" : Contains data formatted for graphing using OriginPro 8.6."Figure 1 – Variation in the 28-day biodegradation rate of sodium benzoate and the seven additives" ."Figure 2 – (A) The relationship between biodegradation rate and the COD/BOD₅ ratio; (B) The relationship between biodegradation rate and the BOD₅/COD ratio" .4.
