The service covers the territory of the state forest Baden-Württemberg. In order to ensure sustainable forest management, the so-called forestry facility takes place every 10 years, a state assessment, a control of forest management and based on a medium-term planning. The objectives underlying the planning are the flow of ForstBW’s strategic sustainability management and thus take into account ecological, social and economic aspects. The geothema provides comprehensive information on forest status and planning from the forest facility as well as the operational implementation for the state forest.
