Charaterization of the molecular impacts of one week high fructose diet in human skeletal muscle

The adaptive mechanisms in response to excess energy supply are still poorly known in humans. Our aims were to define metabolic responses and changes in gene expression in skeletal muscle of healthy offsprings of type 2 diabetic patients during one week of high fructose diet. Offsprings of type 2 diabetic patient subjects were submitted to a high fructose diet during 7days. Muscle biopsies were taken at Day 0 and Day 7.
