Forty-eight samples were floated to recover the macrofloral remains in
conjunction with archaeological mitigation at six sites near Low Mountain in
northeastern Arizona. Macrofloral analysis was undertaken in an effort to
provide a study of the vegetal portion of the subsistence base. Macrofloral
samples were taken primarily in hearths, both extramural and within structures;
as well as from bins; possible storage features; other pits; and room
floors. Macrofloral data concerning subsistence was sought from these
samples and a comparison of cultivated vs. weedy and wild remains was made.
