The CLC FCE Dataset consists of 1,244 examination scripts written by test takers who sat the Cambridge ESOL First Certificate in English (FCE) examination in 2000 and 2001.
These scripts are extracted from the Cambridge Learner Corpus (CLC), a collaborative corpus developed by Cambridge University Press and Cambridge Assessment.
For each examination script, the CLC FCE Dataset includes the original test-taker-written text (transcribed, anonymized but unmodified), alongside scores, error annotations, and basic demographic details including the test takers' first language and age range.
