We have performed samples collection in December 2015 on Magdalena Island, Patagonia, Chile.Samples were fresh fecal samples from Magellanic penguins. Samples were then prepared for viral metagenomics and the RNA fraction was sequenced using IonS5. After bioinformatics analysis, 4 new viruses were identified.
