Clinical isolates of Klebsiella oxytoca

cgMLST is widely used as a molecular typing method to identify bacterial isolates of clinical relevance. However, a reference scheme is needed, which is missing for Klebsiella oxytoca species. These clinial isolates were used to evaluate and validate a newly proposed cgMLST scheme for this particular species, which will represent a standardized method to identify new K. oxytoca isolates in future hospital outbreaks.
