Second-level categorized land use types include paddy field, dry land, closed forest land, shrub land, sparse forest land, other forest lands, high-coverage grassland, medium-coverage grassland, low-coverage grassland, rivers and canals, lakes, reservoirs and ponds, permanent glaciers and snowfields, tidal flats, beach land, urban land, rural settlements, other construction land, sandy land, gobi desert, saline-alkali land, marsh land, bare land, and bare rock and gravel land. Notably, cultivated land is classified based on landform into paddy fields and dry lands in mountainous, hilly, plain areas, and slopes with a gradient greater than 25 degrees. The scale of the data is 1:100,000.
