Leishmania donovani, transfected with a shuttle cosmid library of L. donovani gDNA, was selected under DMSO, miltefosine (IC50) or flavonol-derived compound 19. After selection, cosmids were recovered from surviving parasites, passages through E. coli, and subjected to Illumina MiSeq sequencing. Sequence reads are then aligned to the L. infantum or L. donovani genome to identify selected gDNA inserts.
