Here, we report the fully assembled genome and plasmid sequences of Raoultella electrica 1GB (DSM 102253) that is the type strain and was originally isolated from anodic biofilms of glucose-fed microbial fuel cells. The genome sequence reveals the role of strain 1GB in anodic biofilms regarding extracellular electron transfer mechanisms.
