We developed a model for hypoxic injury of migrating human cortical interneurons using forebrain organoids and forebrain assembloids derived from hiPSCs. Human subpallial organoids at day 46 in culture were exposed to hypoxia (<1% oxygen) for 12 and 24 hours. Some samples were exposed for 24 hours and subsequently reoxygenated for 72 hours. Samples were immediately collected and snap frozen for processing.
