The School-Norway Survey 2009 Spring

NIFU has conducted semiannual surveys among schools and school owners on behalf of the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training since 2009. These surveys are known as Spørsmål til Skole-Norge. Since 2009, the Directorate has operated a system for coordinating surveys on various aspects of the education sector under framework agreements. TFoU (now SINTEF) has conducted the inquiries in the early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector since their introduction in 2014. In the most recent period, NIFU is the project lead for both, while SINTEF continues to carry out the inquiries in the ECEC sector. The surveys are conducted twice a year for the education sector and once a year for the ECEC sector. The main purpose is to systematize surveys related to the needs of the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training and the Ministry of Education and Research for knowledge about conditions in the school and ECEC sectors, to support follow-up of key policy priorities, and to provide a basis for decision-making and prioritization.
