DMO Mining Permits Bituminous Underground (Active)

The purpose of this dataset is to provide DEP staff and other environmental professionals with a spatially referenced dataset of underground permit area boundaries of active bituminous coal mines in Pennsylvania. These permits are written to cover various aspects of the mining operations, such as: reclamation, water quality protection, air quality protection, waste disposal and mine subsidence control.
