资源简介:

Two groups of kinetoplastids parasitise vertebrate and cause major neglected tropical diseases of mankind – the African and American trypanosomes (sleeping sickness and Chagas disease), and many species of Leishmania causing cutaneous and visceral leishmaniases. These two groups have evolved independently from a diverse, ubiquitous clade of trypanosomatid parasites of arthropods by acquiring a vertebrate host in addition to the arthropod, switching from a monoxenous to dixenous lifecycle. The aim is to build draft genomes for the major lineages of monoxenous trypanosomatids to study the evolution of parasitism and the origins of the vertebrate-infective dixenous groups of trypanosomatids. This data is part of a pre-publication release. For information on the proper use of pre-publication data shared by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute (including details of any publication moratoria), please see http://www.sanger.ac.uk/datasharing/
