Complete genome sequence of Acinetobacter species IK1 isolated from biofilm formed on substrate

Acinetobacter species is a Gram-negative, aerobic bacteria isolated from the biofilm formed on stainless steel coupons immersed in sea water microcosm setup. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of Acinetobacter species IK1, which consists of 3,242,245 bp with a G + C content of 40.03%. Whole genome sequence (WGS) of Acinetobacter species through Illumina Novaseq 6000 platform was performed and described. The resulted genome data provides insights of biofilm forming microbial community, its evolution in specific environment and adaption in to specific substrate.
