A meta-transcriptomic survey was conceptualized to help provide the most current status of groundnut viruses infecting groundnut fields in western Kenya. Secondly,to also provide a universal platform to aid in routine surveillance of groundnut viruses emergence and prevalence. The efforts are to help augment the current groundnut management strategies by the farmers in western Kenya.
