Share of fuel sources in electricity production in Nigeria Q1 2021-Q4 2023

As of the fourth quarter of 2023, around 72 percent of fuels used in electricity production in Nigeria were from thermal sources. On the other hand, electrical energy production from hydropower sources represented some 28 percent of the total production. Over the examined period, thermal sources occupied the largest proportion.
