QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS AND MONITORING OF ANTIBIOTIC DRUGS APPROVED AND AUTHORIZED FOR SALE IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

Antibiotic medicines play a crucial role in the treatment of bacterial infections and remain one of the most widely used pharmaceutical products worldwide. Ensuring their quality, safety, and therapeutic effectiveness requires systematic pharmaceutical monitoring and analytical evaluation. The present study focuses on the quantitative analysis of antibiotics approved and permitted for sale in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Modern analytical techniques, including high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), UV–Visible spectrophotometry, and Karl Fischer titration, were used to determine the content of active pharmaceutical ingredients and other quality indicators. The obtained results were compared with pharmacopoeial standards to evaluate compliance with quality requirements. The findings demonstrate that most analyzed antibiotic samples meet established pharmacopoeial limits; however, continuous monitoring is essential to maintain consistent quality and prevent the circulation of substandard medicines in the pharmaceutical market
