资源简介:
The Indigenous Foods Knowledges Network (https://ifkn.org/) is a network of Indigenous and non-Indigenous researchers and community leaders from Alaska, Canada, Finland, and the U.S. Southwest. The network's focus is on exchanging knowledge about how to support Indigenous food sovereignty. The network developed a unique methodology that included reciprocity between researchers and community members and a focus on learning from the places and practices that support Indigenous food sovereignty. Between 2017 - 2023, five communities hosted IFKN network gatherings, including three in the southwest (Gila River Indian Community, Tohono O’odham, and Hopi) and two in Alaska (Chickaloon Village and Nenana). The goal of this project was to develop the network and the network's methodology for exchange; we did not collect data. We did develop and maintain a network charter and website that share some of the information about our meetings. This website will be hosted and maintained by the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado Boulder until August 31, 2024. It will then be archived at the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) at the University of Colorado Boulder.
