Rat-Specific BMI Network

The Rat-Specific BMI network is a network of 688 genes highly proximal to rat BMI GWAS hits but distant from human BMI GWAS hits. Sets of significant genes from human and rat BMI GWAS were independently propagated on the Parsimonious Composite Network (PCNet v1.3) using the network colocalization (NetColoc) approach. All genes were scored based on their normalized proximity within the network to the input gene sets. Genes with high proximity to the rat input set and low proximity to the human input set are included in the Rat-Specific BMI Network.
