Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide, and overall patient prognosis remains poor. MicroRNAs function as either tumor suppressors or oncogenes and are critically involved in various stages of lung cancer development and progression. However, the functional role and underlying mechanisms of miR-291a-3p in lung cancer remain largely unknown. Overall design: In this study, we systematically investigated the biological functions and molecular mechanisms of miR-291a-3p by overexpressing it in murine Lewis lung carcinoma cells, followed by integrated analyses combining RNA sequencing, bioinformatics, and clinical data validation.
