Study of ammonia oxidizing microorganisms in vegetable-eel co-culture system

Based on a five-years locational plot trials, Illumina NovaSeq high-throughput sequencing were used to 1) investigate the gene richness, diversity and community structure of soil ammonia-oxidizing microorganisms; 2) to determine the key environmental factors influencing soil ammonia oxidizing process under vegetable-eel co-culture system; 3) to reveal the relative contribution of AOA, AOB, and comammox clade A and clade B to soil nitrification, providing a scientific basis for the application and promotion of the vegetable-eel co-culture system.
