Detection of gut microbiome for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Makkah Al-Mukaromah region

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a complex metabolic disorder influenced by various genetic and environmental factors, including the gut microbiome. In this study, we investigate the composition and diversity of gut microbiota in patients with T2DM from the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region. Using 16S rRNA sequencing, we analyze stool samples to compare the microbial communities of diabetic patients with those of healthy individuals. This research aims to identify potential microbial biomarkers associated with T2DM, providing insights into the role of gut microbiota in disease progression and paving the way for microbiome-based therapeutic approaches.
