Companies on the insurance market in Portugal 2011-2020

The statistic shows the number of companies operating on the insurance market in Portugal from 2011 to 2020. During this period the both domestic and total insurance market fluctuated. The domestic market had a boost in 2015, achieving 45 companies. It declined right after, presenting the lowest number in this period by the end of 2020 with 37 companies. Very differently, the total insurance market showed a trend of increase, with the number of companies increasing slightly from 643 companies in 2018, to 662 companies by the end of 2020.
