Remote sensing survey of newly discovered necropolis in central Saudi Arabia

This dataset contains georeferenced GeoPackage (GPKG) data with YOLOv8-based detections of potential Mustatil structures and related archaeological features identified from satellite imagery. The detections were generated using Mustatil, a GIS-oriented computer vision workspace designed for annotation, YOLO model training, large-image and geospatial object detection, satellite-map inspection, and export to GIS formats such as GeoPackage. Github Each feature represents an AI model prediction, typically stored as a georeferenced bounding box. Depending on the exported layer, attributes may include the predicted class, confidence score, model information, source imagery or tile information, and export metadata. The dataset is intended to support archaeological screening, remote-sensing analysis, spatial research, and documentation of potential Neolithic monumental structures in north-western Arabia. The detections should be interpreted as candidate locations, not as confirmed archaeological sites. Manual review, image-based verification, and, where possible, field validation are recommended before using the data for final archaeological interpretation.
