资源简介:
This data set consists of a 2-dimensional P-wave velocity model from first-arrival travel-time tomography of OBS refraction data acquired along the Washington Transect (Line 2) of the Juan de Fuca Ridge-to-Trench study as well as MCS reflection-derived depth-to-reflectors. The model is provided in both MATLAB and ASCII format with columns as defined below and within files. Here we present the MATLAB binary files - see the associated data set for the ASCII version of this model. The file contents are as follows. Velocity model (L2_v) in km/s for all 107 depth intervals and 1295 x nodes. L2_vmask is the same data masked to only contain velocity values in regions of good ray coverage. Depth to reflectors (L2_bathymetry, L2_basement, L2_moho) for 1295 x nodes in km below sea level. L2_z provides depths for 107 z nodes in km below seafloor. L2_x provides distance in km along the transect from the Margin Transect (L3), with negative values indicating distances seaward (west) of L3. L2 lat and lon are provided for 1295 x nodes in decimal degrees. L2_zero provides the lat/lon coordinates in decimal degrees of the intersections of L2 and L3. The data set was generated as part of the projects called Evolution and Hydration of the Juan de Fuca Crust and Uppermost Mantle: A Plate-Scale Seismic Investigation from Ridge to Trench; and, Inferences on Cascadia Deformation Front and Plate Interface Properties from Advanced Studies of Active-Source Seismic Data. Funding was provided through NSF awards OCE10-29305, OCE10-29411, OCE16-57737 and OCE16-57237.
