Longitudinal and single timepoint analysis of the fecal microbiome of horses at eight teaching hospitals on three continents

These 16S rRNA amplicon sequencing data were generated from DNA isolated from the feces of horses and other equids admitted to one of eight veterinary teaching hospitals within the United States, United Kingdom, or Australia. Fecal samples were collected from healthy horses and horses with adverse health conditions affecting any body system, immediately upon admission and, in some horses, longitudinally throughout their hospitalization. Metadata include patient demographics and information related to health status, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome associated with each horse.
