1. hover_tree.rda Description:Phylogenetic tree of 120 hoverfly (Syrphidae) species sampled across 234 forest patches in six regions of Germany, as part of the BETA-FOR project. The tree is based on COI sequences obtained from the Barcode of Life Data System (BOLD), aligned and processed to represent phylogenetic relationships among species.Format: R object (.rda) containing a phylo object compatible with the ape package in R. 2. Gower_distance_matrix.rda Description:Species-by-species Gower distance matrix for the same 120 hoverfly (Syrphidae) species. Distances are based on multiple functional traits (e.g., larval feeding mode, adult feeding preference, habitat association, body size) compiled from published literature and expert knowledge.Format: R object (.rda) containing a numeric distance matrix compatible with the FD and vegan R packages.
