Global share of lithium supply 2020-2030, by country

Australia accounted for an estimated 45 percent of the world's lithium supply in 2020, which made it by far the world's largest supplier. By 2030, Australia's share of global lithium supply is forecast to amount to 41 percent, a slight decrease compared to a decade prior. Chile was the second-leading lithium supplier over the same timeframe, accounting for an estimated 28 percent in 2020 and forecast to account for 21 percent in 2030.
