RNA-seq of potato plants with different immune response to PVY

Sequencing of mock and PVY inoculated leaves to study the response of potato to viral infection in different genetic backgrounds. Potato cultivar Igor is extremely sensitive cultivar, that is highly affected by PVY-NTN infection, develops severe disease symptoms that lead to plant death. Potato cultivar Désirée is a tolerant cultivar, which does not develop disease symptoms, but the virus can multiply. Breeding clone PW363 is extremely resistant to PVY, the virus does not multiply, neither the plants develop any symptoms. The source of the resistance in PW363 is the Ry(sto) gene.
